Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. How much do your services cost?
A. There are hundreds of variables that go into answering that question. A few examples of the factors that go into determining a price are:
1. Where will the shoot be?
2. What will the travel time be?
3. How long will the event last?
4. What is the customer’s goal with this photo shoot?
5. How many photos does the customer want or need?
6. What equipment is going to be needed?
7. Will an assistant be needed on site?
After discussing your requirements and determining the answers to the above questions and other issues I will provide you with a fixed price quote.
Q. Can you give me some examples of prices just so I have some idea of a ballpark figure before I call you?
A. Without knowing the details of the job it’s difficult, but here are two extreme examples:
1. A local customer needs a few shots of the front of their house for a real estate ad in a magazine. The location is very near my office and the entire job will take less than one hour. For something like this you are looking about $200
2. A company in Oregon needs photos of all of their products for a catalog they are putting together. This job will take several days of shooting, travel to and from Oregon and lodging and meal expenses. A job like this would run about $5000.
Of course these are extreme opposite examples but this will give you an idea of the range of prices. It should be noted that most jobs will be closer to the lower end of the examples above and very few will be at the high end.
Q. How do you supply the photos to the customer?
A. I can supply high resolution digital images on CD ROM or DVD ROM or professional lab printed prints in your choice of sizes ranging from wallet size to 20”x30”.
